Barry W. Botticello

Barry W. Botticello

Barry Botticello is a Connecticut native, having been born in Manchester and he grew up in Lebanon. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut at Storrs and also the University of Connecticut Law School. He has been a resident of Manchester since 1972 and has been active in various civic organizations including the Manchester Chapter of UNICO, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and the United Way. He is also a member of the UCONN Club Board of Directors.

Barry has been a practicing attorney in Manchester since 1975, having been a sole practitioner until 1990 when the firm of Penny, Botticello & O’Brien was formed. He practices in the areas of Real Estate, including zoning and property valuation cases, commercial and residential closings and leasing, Business transactions and business formation, and also Probate Law. He lives in Manchester with his wife, Patti.

Stephen T. Penny

Stephen T. Penny

Stephen T. Penny graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a B.A. degree in 1970, and from the University of Connecticut School of Law with a J.D. degree in 1973. Since that time, he has been engaged in the general practice of law as an attorney in the Town of Manchester, Connecticut, including real estate, general litigation, labor relations, municipal, and zoning law.

Mr. Penny is a former mayor of Manchester, having served on its Board of Directors for 10 years. He currently sits on the Town Pension Board, and has been a member of a number of others boards and commissions over the years.

Steve has remained active in the community, is currently President of the Manchester Rotary Club (1999-2000) and Announcer at the Manchester Road Race, one of the oldest and most respected such races in the country. He is also a member of Friendship Lodge of Masons, Sphinx Temple Shriners, and the Manchester Racquet Club.

Kevin M. O'Brien

Kevin M. O'Brien

Kevin M. O’Brien represents clients their estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care directives as well in probate matters including estates and guardianships.  He also represents clients in residential and commercial real estate matters, including contract review, closings in addition to buy/sell agreements and lease negotiations and other contract matters.  Kevin has litigated civil and criminal matters in State courts for over forty years.

Kevin received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire and his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts.

Kevin’s professional activities include:  Past Fact Finder Arbitrator non-judicial officer; Past Small Claims Commissioner; Former Town Attorney for the Town of East Windsor; Past President of the Manchester Bar Association; and Past Town Attorney for the Town of Manchester.

Kevin’s civic activities include:  Past Chairman, Manchester Redevelopment Agency; Past Chairman, Manchester Housing Authority; Past Chairman, Charter Revision Commission-Town of Manchester; Past Vice President, Manchester Area Conference of Churches; Past Chairman, Saint Bridget Finance Committee; Past Chairman, Connecticut Arthritis Foundation; and Past President of the Manchester Jaycees.

William P. O'Brien

William P. O'Brien

William P. O’Brien is a 1980 graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. He attended New England School of Law, evening division, and received his J.D. degree in 1989, while working full-time as a claim supervisor in the Boston Field Office of the Travelers Insurance Company.

In 1989, Bill relocated to Connecticut, joined the Hartford Field Office of the Travelers where he continued to supervise personal injury claims involving automobile accidents, premises liability claims, construction accidents and defective products. In 1991, he joined the Staff Counsel Offices of Aetna Property and Casualty as a trial attorney and, in 1996, with the merger of Travelers and Aetna, he joined the Staff Counsel Offices of the Travelers Property Casualty Company where he continued to litigate insurance defense matters.

In 2001, he joined Penny, Botticello & O’Brien as an associate and became a partner in 2004. Since joining Penny, Botticello & O’Brien, Bill has been involved in civil litigation, including the representation of individuals who have been seriously injured by another’s negligence.
